Dear AAIM,

New and exciting things are happening at AAIM! You've probably noticed our new logo: take a closer look--do you see people holding hands? Like the people in this emblem, we aspire to make Austin a place where people of diverse religious and cultural expressions can work together.

New for 2007 is the Interfaith Passport Program, a series of monthly informational visits to faith communities designed to foster one-on-one interaction and dialogue.

In early March, we will walk in solidarity for those around the block and across the world who face endemic hunger. In 2006, faith and civic groups raised $148,731 for hunger relief efforts both locally and globally. Sign up for the 2007 CROP Walk for Hunger, March 3/4 and see how your fundraising efforts can make a difference to a hungry stomach. Read below to see how you can raise funds online!

As always, check our the spiritual and cultural offerings taking place in February throughout Austin.

Yours in faith, Rev. Emilee Whitehurst Executive Director

AAIM Launches New Logo & Website!

We would like to take this opportunity to honor Neyssan Moshref Senior Designer at GSD&M and designer of our new logo, and Blake Grugett, a multimedia designer and developer who has refashioned our website. AAIM depends on the heartfelt contributions of volunteers like Neyssan and Blake.

AUSTIN AREA INTERRELIGIOUS MINISTRIES UNITES FAITH AND CULTURAL COMMUNITIES TO FOSTER RESPECT, PARTNERSHIP AND TRANSFORMATION IN SERVICE OF THE COMMON GOOD.

This e-mail is a service of Austin Area Interreligious Ministries (AAIM). Our goal is to alert Austin's faith communities as well as the "spiritually curious" about events that may be of interest. Please note that AAIM does not presume to endorse the events we publicize nor do we necessarily share their faith perspective. We do, however, find these events to be worthwhile contributions to the diverse religious and cultural fabric of our city.
