Dear Friends,

“In the name of God, the Compassionate! We begin with the cup of Spring, when earth awakes and peoples come to birth. Blessed are You, the Breath of Life, Who breathed into the earth of an ancient land the vine that brings forth fruit that brings forth juice as red as blood — the joyful juice of grapes that give us not death but life.” These are the opening words from a Passover Seder for the Children of Abraham, Sarah and Hagar, by Rabbi Arthur Waskow.

For Christians, Easter is a time to celebrate the resurrection of Christ and Life’s triumph over death. “Christ is Risen! Christ is Risen indeed!” is the call and response between Christians on Easter morning.

May each of you experience a renewal of Spirit during this Holy Season! For, in the words of Gandhi, one can “see that in the midst of death life persists, in the midst of untruth truth persists, in the midst of darkness light persists.”
Thanks be to God!

Executive Director
